Hydrostar 6000
A robust three-dimensional drainage geocomposite membrane for commercial, light industrial and infrastructure projects.
The Hydrostar 6000 is a robust three-dimensional drainage geocomposite membrane and is specifically designed to provide unmatched drainage and protection for commercial, light industrial, and infrastructure segments of the construction market.
Polypropylene Dimpled Core
Hydrostar 6000 is a polypropylene dimpled core with an adhered polypropylene needle-punched (non-woven) geotextile chosen for its filtration and water flow characteristics. The polypropylene material provides great chemical resistance properties to suit most construction environments.
- Polypropylene Dimpled Core: The dimpled core, coupled with the needle-punched non-woven geotextile, maximizes water flow characteristics while providing superior chemical resistance.
- Long-Term Durability: The high compressive strength of the core material ensures long-term durability and resistance to creep.
- Filtration and Drainage: The non-woven geotextile bonded to the core acts as a filtration layer, effectively capturing soil particles while allowing efficient drainage of groundwater. This dual-layer design ensures optimal performance in handling and redirecting water flow.

Properties of the Hydrostar 6000
Hydrostar Drain 6000 DB ensures consistent and reliable drainage, redirecting groundwater to outlet or control drains. The non-woven geotextile bonded to the core effectively filters soil particles without compromising the core space, allowing maximum drainage capacity.
The high compressive strength of the Hydrostar Drain 6000 DB’s core prevents long-term creep. It ensures consistent water flow while resisting fabric intrusion into the in-plane water flow, guaranteeing the functionality of the drainage geocomposite for the expected design service life of your protected structure.
Structure of the Hydrostar 6000
Hydrostar AG has been evaluated by the Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) for its dampproofing and drainage properties and is approved for use as an alternative equal to those materials specified in the Building Codes as dampproofing and drainage materials. This ensures that the material has undergone rigorous testing and evaluation to ensure it meets the demands of the building industry for performance, durability, and effectiveness.
